Students (and their siblings) who are the first in their family to attend and graduate from a four-year college in the U.S. are considered First-Gen. At Ithaca College, approximately 15% of each incoming class identifies as First-Gen. The First-Generation Center is committed to enhancing the experience of First-Generation college students and supporting them in achievement their goal of obtaining a college degree.
