Are you a musician or music lover? Tune in to the acoustic wonders of the Whalen Center for Music and its two concert halls—hosting over 300 performances each year. There’s also a recording studio, 90 practice rooms, tons of recital rooms—and a busy instrument repair shop.
Whalen Center for Music
Here's a look inside the Whalen Center for Music. Upstairs Ford Hall fits 644 guests. Just one of the venues in Whalen that helps host over 350 performances each year. Next door, Hockett Family Recital Hall. It's an audience of 251. Performances are live streamed, so family and friends at home won't miss a beat. Down the hall our Borg Warner recording studio, where a 48 channel analog and digital hybrid SSL duality console with Pro Tools Ultimate is it students fingertips. Upstairs Professor Michael Teitelbaum is directing the Jazz Ensemble during a rehearsal.
To make sure we really hit that last note. Do we really sting it? [Jazz Music]
On the ground floor, over 90 practice rooms with pianos tuned in at the ready. There's also recital rooms and study spaces with the view, thankfully, an instrument repair shop. And that's what you'll find inside the Whalen Center for Music.
